Brit Off to a Mental Hospital?

Sources tell TMZ the "responsible" people in Britney's life are trying to convince her to voluntarily enter a mental hospital.

We're told there's now a consensus -- she'll never get custody of her kids unless she undergoes intensive, in-patient treatment for what appears to be a severe bipolar disorder. But we're told Spears is resisting and does not want to enter a hospital.

And sources say that since her release from Cedars, Brit has "pulled it together, at least on the surface." She is coherent and engaged, but will not voluntarily enter a mental facility -- at least for now.

Can't Dr. Phil do some good for the world and focus on them?

18. I think Courtney Love is correct...she IS popping too many adderol pills. I looked up the drug and her behavior is listed in the side effects list. This is a drug that would not be a red flag for drug testing since she has a prescription for it.

20. Doesn't matter if she gets her kids back or not. She'll just go out and get pregnant again and again if she wants another baby. She's white trash Britney Spears ya'll! Between her and her lil sis, there'll be babies all over the place. Sean and Jayden belong with their daddy (the only parent that really gives a $hit about them).

22. The problem here is - NO mental patient thinks they need any help. In their mind - THEY are fine and WE are nuts! Brit has no lawyers now to fight for her - as she has alienated everyone and except for the "pap guy" - who seems to"need her" for what? Quick roll in the hay? Attention? Free pass? so terrinbly sad - and Dr.Phil has sure muddied the waters. HE should be brought before the Medical Board and the hospital violated Brit's trust. Too bad she didnt just yell and scream the second Dr. Phil walked in the room and had him arrested for trespassing - violating her rights!!! Her mother and father are as bad as she is - and that is sad,also. Blind leading the blind. She is legally an adult and therefore - her parents have NO rights!!

23. NOW it is time for the Cedas Sinai to apologise to Britney. Because of the indiscretion of their stuff a lot of gossip about how Britney behaved behind their walls has come out into the media. I am not surprised Britney is refusing any kind of institutional help. That all has done a huge damage to her view on psycological and psycriatrical help.

She need to fins and accept a very sincere and competent clinic somewhere on this planet. Thank God money is not an issue for her.

24. Ok..........Britney did not test positive for drugs or alcohol. Now is the time to have K-Fed tested for everything.......why has he not been ordered to do so before now? I believe he is solely to blame for the downfall of Britney.....what a sleeze! I realize Britney needs help but why does HE have the children????????? He is pushing her to insanity in order to get money from her because he cannot support himself.....

25. Too many drugs for too long can cause a variety of symptoms. They tried (unsuccessfully) to institutionalize her. I think she's able to come up for air just enough to be coherent...then starts popping pills again. She needs to get rid of all those new creepy friends she's met. Poor thing. Her idea of what is normal is so messed up right now, I don't think she knows which end is up. I wonder how much longer she wants to go on like this? How much can a person take? I guess we'll see.

Ok so I've been watching this Britney thing for a while now and I do believe that she is heading toward the bad side.......She is showing signs of bipolar which i can safley say that I have and trust me its not easy to deal with. with her being the celebrity that she is it will be even harder because of the papparizzi and everyone always being in her face. she needs her family friends(true ones) to be there for her to help her but most of all she needs to wanna help her self. She has something that she should want the help for Jayden and Sean.

28. What is this is all hype to sell her recording....she didn't want kids and could care less if they are given to Fed.
She is putting all this on for the attention...(obviously from her phone call to her sister, during the Hospital stay.)
Loser celeb, she' boring, focus on someone else. If no attention is given, she'll clean up her act or get out of the business.

29. Most mothers would do anything for her kids. She is not insane, so therfore she can make the decesion to get help, but since she chooses not to, then she doesnt deserve her kids. I have compassion for her, because she is bi-polar, but she can get help for it. Most people with a mental illness, would get help if they could, and especially for the sake of their children.

Now, she has lost me, and she appears to be a spoiled, selfish person.

30. i am afraid that if someone in her family does not go to court and have her commited she is going to KILL herself cause she lost her whole life her marriage , her career ,now her Kids . The only thing she has left to lose ppl is her life and mark my words without prof help she is going to KILL herself one day, then her family will be sorry for not getting her the help she needs . Brittney pls pls go and get the help u need so u can get well .
