Lest there be any doubt, TMZ now has incontrovertable proof the abominable snowman is alive and well...

Well, at least he was ... before hunters shot him and put him in a box.

After getting hundreds of hate emails, phone calls, and rage-filled comments over the last 24 hours, we at TMZ finally took the hint -- not everybody found the Shawn Johnson/Topo Gigio comparison hilarious. Sure, we'll eat the crow you shoved down our throats -- but you gotta check out some of the messages we got in our "contact us" mailbox. We even got a letter from an official Team USA Gymnastics rep!

Yes, we got the message loud and clear, but make sure to click through to the final email -- the one that started this whole mess in the first place.

The cops have been summoned in Lili Tomlin's neighborhood war.

LAPD officers were called by Lili's neighbor in Sherman Oaks this morning, after Lily had her lumberjack goons chop down his trees. Lili has complained her neighbor's trees are overgrown and could fall on her house.
The cops stopped the men in trees from continuing. But when the police left, the tree dudes kept chopping away and the neighbor was piiiiised. L.A. tree officials came to scene and it looks like the guys Lily hired don't have a license to kill, so they've been stopped, at least temporarily.

Daniel Radcliffe must have had some kind of magic stick up his butt the other day in NYC -- because he snubbed a huge group of Potterheads outside the New York Times building. Even Will Smith stops for all his fans!

Might want to try that cloak of invisibility next time.

The other hot blonde fighting over the NFL's luckiest bastard, Tony Romo, just turned up the heat -- calling Carrie Underwood a boldfaced liar on live radio.

Jessica Simpson just went on "Woody and Jim" on 107.5 in Nashville, telling the morning crew she and Tony laughed at Carrie's published claim that Romo is still calling the Idol champ -- and adding that everything Carrie insinuated is completely untrue.
And if that wasn't clear enough, Simpson spelled it right out for Underwood, "If Tony wanted to call her ... or wanted to be with her, he would."

After having to sit through Terrence Howard's first ever live musical performance last night, our spy in the crowd gave us the impression that his show was more torturous than Abu Ghraib -- but shockingly, not everyone in the TMZ newsroom agreed with the negative review.

In his shoot report from Maryland concert, the cameraman writes: "Some people should never quit their day job ... Terrence Howard could not hit the proper notes as he butchered every song. A noted fact, the liquor sales went up that night in the club as concertgoers needed some type of distraction."
Give it a listen -- is it really that bad?

Get a load of Sienna Miller's London home shortly after vandals spray painted the word "Slut" across it.

No word if Balthazar Getty's wife has been to London recently.

Our cameraguy had all the right questions for Ellen Travolta from "Charles in Charge" yesterday in NYC. One problem: He was talking to that other '80s mom from "Who's the Boss?," Judith Light. Oops.

Pharrell Williams turned into his alter ego last night, and used a Spongebob Squarepants face to block the paps in England.

What a N.E.R.D.

apl.de.ap from the Black Eyes Peas needs to take a cue from his songs and learn when to "Shut Up" -- especially when he's throwing the G-bomb around.

When asked about Ricky Martin's in vitro twins and the Claby, the Pea's eloquent response was "that's gay" -- but literally seconds after he dropped the statement, the furious backtracking began! His assistant wanted us to "edit that part out." We didn't.

Nicollette Sheridan was unrecognizably nice outside Mr. Chow last night -- smiling, posing with fans, and even giving someone a lift home! It's a pretty sharp contrast from the last time she was out...a total bitch.

The wasabi must have been hallucinogenic.

Isaiah Washington was rocking a pimp suit and a badass swagger outside the Viper Room -- but any street cred he had was automatically vaporized with one look at the game-killing tupperware in his left hand.

Dude, just because Diddy did it, doesn't mean it's O.K.

Country star Pat Green wanted a beer on stage the other night -- he got one, all right.
Green was singin' after a NASCAR race Saturday when he asked all his rowdy friends, "Anyone got a beer?" Well, someone delivered a full unopened can -- right between his eyes. Michigan state troopers say he was knocked out cold, but his rep says that just a bunch of suds.
No one gets knocked out by a beer can these days without somebody catching it on video. So far, we haven't seen any ... but we'd like to!

Five out of five dentists say Michael Phelps is all wet -- when it comes to his choice of breakfast cereal.
Health experts are going nuts because Mikey likes Frosted Flakes, and is going to be on the FF box rather than a Wheaties box, like pretty much every other big-shot athlete. They're all up in arms because Flakes has three times as much sugar as Wheaties and only a fraction of the fiber. Not so grrrrrreat after all?!
We've put in a call to the Wheaties peeps, but haven't heard back yet.
